CBS ArcSafe remote switch operators – actuators are used to remotely operate all types and styles of control switches for circuit breakers and other electrical equipment.
For example, with our remote switch operator control unit and the appropriate switch actuator, the service technician can operate, trip, and close release circuit breakers from a safe distance outside the arc flash boundary.

There are numerous CBS ArcSafe remote switch actuators which enable the system to be used with circuit breakers, motor controls, and other electrical equipment which use a variety of :
- pistol-grip switches
- pushbutton switches
- lever or toggle style control switches.
The remote switch operator can be used in conjunction with the CBS ArcSafe remote racking system or independently, as a stand-alone device.
By allowing service personnel to stand outside the arc flash boundary, the CBS ArcSafe remote switch operators reduce the need for a full-body arc flash hazard suit.
The remote switch operators – actuators are held to in place by strong magnets; and no modifications are required to your switchgear. Easily move the remote switch operator from one breaker to another.
Each CBS ArcSafe remote switch actuator is provided with the Model RSO-1 portable base unit which includes a 24vdc power supply and pendant control or radio remote control.
